Organized chaos I'm sure, but it looks like a great place to build things. That bench in the center looks pretty interesting. Any details?

Yes, it used to be a drafting table from the University of Georgia. I took the old top off and the hardware that allowed it to tilt and put a butcher block top with T tracks. I still have the old top and hardware along with all the tools from my old shop stored in three 40 foot containers in the yard

Really looks neat. Be cool to see more pics of it or a build thread if you've got pictures from when you did it. What are the measurements?

I like this! Having had a smaller space previously but needing to fit a lot into it, necessity is very much the mother of invention.

Could I ask a question (which for those in the know will be obvious) - I've only seen T tracks put into steel (usually cast) fabrication tables. I guess the concept is the same for wood - giving you fixture points for clamp downs and such when cabinet making or other precision wood work. Is that the idea?

I'm sure you know right where everything lives and you can go to it immediately. It's amazing that it looks so busy but to the owner it's very organized! It looks like a shop that gets used and alot of things done!
