I browse the Kickstarter campaigns and have backed (bought) a few items over the years. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not.
But it's entertaining to me to see what people are trying to do and how they pitch it.

It's basically $500, if you aren't familiar with how Kickstarter works; you "back" the project to manufacture the item with a promise to pay them various amounts in exchange for the future product, IF it is successful and ends up being built.
