for some strange reason this thought popped into my mind this morning while i was sorting out hardware and trying to finish up organizing my "new" service truck

i've been wrenching on const eq for 30 years, so yea i have a few tools that are larger than the average automotive wrench or DIY'r would have in their toolboxes.

but i started thinking, i have some small stuff too..
so i looked through my toolboxes in the garage and came up with these...

titan #00 phillips
titan T5 torx
mac 0.50 ball end allen wrench
JH williams 4" adjustable
SK 4mm 1/4" dr socket
SO OXI4 1/8" comb wrench
Channelock 50 smooth tapered needlenose

comb square is set at 6" for reference....

I had a 4" JH Williams adjustable. It was the perfect tool for removing ford tilt steering column levers. I lost it somewhere and have pissed about it ever since. So what did you get for a new truck? I still miss my service truck.

replaced the '06 F550 with 169K miles on it that i was driving,
with another '06 F550 with 113k on the clock.

the old truck was leaking coolant everywhere, the fan clutch making noise at highway speeds, wont run over 65MPH without overheating, needed brakes on all 4 corners, shocks, rear spring pack bolt was sheared off, and wouldnt pass inspection....

2nd time in 10 years i get a leftover truck :dunno: when everybody else gets new....:wtf:

Did you replace your iconic welded and re welded craftsman tool box; or is it still going strong in the "new" truck?

it's mostly still there :lol_hitti

removed the lid, and took out the bottom drawer and welded up a new bottom frame.

hopefully it'll last for another 10 years :bounce:
