Hello

I found this forum from a link to the 1930's auto shop resto thread over on retrorides.

I'm from Chester, UK and by comparison to most of the US garages mine is tiiiiiiiiny  it's about ten foot wide by twenty foot long with a flat asbestos roof, which leaks.. a lot.

At the moment I'm rebuilding my car in it, Polo Coupe S, but come summer when that is out of the way I plan on putting an Apex roof, insulating it, smoothing out the floor and installing an air ring. I will post some pictures up soon, but for now I shall keep drooling over the garage gallery

Cheers

Welcome to the Garage Journal. Looking forward to your pictures. In the meantime, I am going to do a Google search on Polo Coupe S.

Haha cheers for the warm welcome, I know what you mean about killing for a garage.. before I cleared mine out and moved the car in I was working under the carport (a sort of lean to type thing with corrugated plastic roof..) and it was cold, cramped and wet.

Now I'm in the garage and it's just as cold but slightly less cramped and wet

By most standards around where I live my garage is actually of an above average size, it's just got too much stuff in it.. including a tumble drier, a shelf full of vases and various other overflow things from the house that my Mother refuses to throw away :dunno:

An air ring is what some people call and air system I suppose, Shop air you guys call it?

Cheers
