This is the cutest little jointer I’ve ever seen. The Driver Line? Anyone have any info on it? It feels almost like a toy. It would obviously work for small boards, but a hand plane would be way safer and just as fast. Couldn’t let it go to scrap.

That is a model made for schools for their shop classes. It originally had a direct drive motor with a coupling. Could have been made in the 1920s is my guess. JD Wallace also made them. I’m sure others did, also. I just sold my Wallace, which was dated 1914-1915.

The Jersey City location was Walker-Turner’s first. In 1931 they moved to Plainfield, New Jersey.

Nice find. I have hand planes longer than that...
Hey, you could take off the fence and guard, flip it over, mount a small motor and a handle, and have a rather odd handheld power planer...
