Looking for some recommendations on a epoxy system. We moved into a new home (new build) about 6 months ago. Looking to epoxy coat the floor, but the wife is insisting on a simple clear coat, not the color chip variety. Thankfully we have been able to keep the new slab in pristine condition, just a bit of dirt to clean up so there is no issue there. Looking at a Norklad 100 as the base coat with a urethane top coat. I've done some searching but i'm not seeing much on these types of applications.
My questions would be:
1. What would be the best primer for a fully clear coat system. In looking at photos of various threads it appears that the primer coats often look very blotchy. I assume this would show through on the finish clear coats so that makes me question the use of a primer.
2. Any recommendations for anti-skid grit with this type of floor? It doesn't need to be highly skid resistant, I'm just hoping to keep it form being a total skating rink.
