Tips for applying Exoxy without filling contraction joints

Hi,

Long time lurker and finally ready to get the process moving for applying a full flake broadcast epoxy/poly flooring. I may have be overthinking this, but are there any tips for apply the epoxy/poly to the contraction joints without filling it all up? I have decided not to fill in the cracks with any filler as they will just crack due to Colorado's soil and existing garage floor cracking. I feel like it looks cleaner and will crack eventually, but if i don't prefill it, it will not be as noticeable once it cracks.

You can let the material run into the joint as you roll it. If a lot begins to collect in it, loosely run a cheap chip brush down the joint to spread it further down the joint line. You still need coating material in the joint for the color flakes to adhere to it.

If you use a quality flexible joint sealer, such as our IntegraFlex 1921, you won't have to worry about future cracks developing. For saw cut joints we recommend filling before coating, for larger hand troweled joints we recommend taping off and filling after coating.
