I used a Craftsman branded inflator that looks exactly like that ASTRO AI. It worked great and it lasted for years. My main complaint was that I needed to rotate in odd ways to read PSI rather than metric and I had to maintain pressure. Based on recommendations here and later some Project Farm reviews, I bought:
For reading pressure only, this for $30. (project Farm recommendation) I own 3 of these.

For inflation and reading, as recommended here. This link is currently $38 with a 10% coupon. I think that this is the reply that really relates to your question:
This will clip on so I do not need to hold pressure down. Not the best connection, but it works. The digital display works well, but does require batteries. I bought mine 09/08/2024 and have not had to change the batteries yet. This lives in a non-temperature controlled area and has worked well in heat and cold temperatures. Highly recommended. I would buy this again. I really owe the person here who recommended this to me.
Only vaguely related, it was also recommended here as something to toss in the car and only $20, but this is a battery powered tire inflator. I have only used this to inflate car and SUV tires. I inflated maybe 6 tires from 30 to 35 and the battery still showed as full charge (but when I plugged it in it charged for a while before indicating full). Again, do not remember which member recommended this one, but very happy with it. I now have one in each vehicle.
