Tire machine on last leg

I have a friend that has owned this tire machine for over 20 years. At this point it works at about 40% capacity meaning is struggles to break the bead free on the rim. We have plenty of air capacity so that is not the issues but it struggles to live.

He wants to replace it but does not have the funds at this time. Do you think it could be repaired? How about a manual for it? Any suggestions on what could cause it not to break the bead on the tire?

Anything can be fixed.

He should take the air cylinder apart on the bead breaker. One possibility is that after 20 years it has corrosion in it, not letting the piston move well. My changer wasn't very old, but had this problem because the guy I got it from didn't have dry air.

If he has to have someone fix it, it's probably not worth it. He could find used rim clamp changer that would work better for probably what they'd fix it for.

That machine has been around for a long time, I`m sure it could be repaired.

I went to my commercial service station supply company and they sold me a simple 10/10 rebuild kit. Took it all apart and cleaned and lubed and checked all the pivots. Installed the O-Ring and other simple pieces-don't remember what they were though and it has worked fine for the last 20 years.

I tried to find a rebuild kit online but could not find it for the 1010. Any suggestions where I might find it online or locally?
