We own a equipment rental store and have 50 or so trailers or machines mounted on trailers. Looking to start buying tires myself and installing when needed. We go through at least a dozen tires a month on trailer from customers hitting curbs or overloading. I know coats is a good brand. Would like to buy used but I'm not sure what machine we would need. 95 percent of the time we would be doing trailer tires. I do not want to buy a cheap piece of junk though. Not many used machines in my area that I have found so far. Does anyone have expierence with the atlas brand. Are they good machines? Looks like I can get one for around 1800.

Thanks

Depending where you are at, you can frequently find a used Coats machine for a couple hundred dollars. They are pretty indestructible. I'm sure everything you rent has steel wheels so stick with an old fashioned center post. No need for a rim clamp.

Get a rim clamp. Much safer and easier. You don't want anyone inexperienced on a single post. There's a reason there so cheap
