I was looking for a proper tire repair\plugging kit. What im not looking for is the fiberous plugs. The ones that look like a string with tar on them. The local garages all have tech brand plugs and patches. Thats kind of what im looking for but have found a few listings on ebay. Thank in advance.

You don't want the tire plug kits with the raw hide plugs, they don't seal worth a ****.I pull more of them because they leak.

I'm not sure what a safety plug kit is or anything but I always buy the big set at NAPA, its around 40 plugs if I recall and chomes with very heavy duty reamer and plug installer tool. Cost like $20 bucks. I love it and have not had one fail.

We have our shop truck, my car, wifes car, employees cars, etc... all plugged with this kit with no issues.

The local service station will pull the tire off the rim, pathc it on the inside, and re-install - no appointment - for like $10. They are my regular repair. But I have two of the home repair kits for emergencies. Figured if it worked for all those years, it should get me thru in a pinch.
