Is a large bore tire pressure gauge universal for both passenger car tires and heavy equipment or would one need both gauges.

What is the benefit of Re-Calibratable?

No benefit I can see unless you have something to calibrate against. It only moves a few quarter pounds in either direction. As it came, mine was in perfect sync with my other Milton gauges so I left it alone. I do like the new black stick. For me it reads easier than a white stick.

I don't know of any passenger car tires with a "large bore", not to say there aren't any. Your first link points to the standard valve size for passenger cars. The second to a larger bore, with which I am unfamiliar. I suppose it is possible to get a reading with the large bore gauge on a passenger car sized valve, or maybe it would just leak around the sides, or not even fit. Never tried a large bore pressure gauge, never needed one.

I do really like that service gauge, though.

The larger bore contributes to greater accuracy. Those gages are also a lot more durable. I can't count the number of small bore gages I've tossed over the years. My big boys just keep going.

I have loaders, earth mover and graders that run large bore valve stems. I can not use small bore chuck on the large bore and vise versa. I would investigate futher before you purchase.
