Just be careful. If you're into off-roading, 300lbs isn't as much as you think it is, when it comes to wheels and tires.

All the weight of the load is on those four bolts in shear stress. I'd use Grade 8s if the rack doesn't come with them.

It's a great deal compared to the commonly-used one sold by Tire Rack ($130 at TR versus $40 here). And it would be pretty easy to mount it in a way that would make it much stronger than the 300# weight limit would suggest.

Still, it's a pretty straightforward project to DIY.

Looks nice for smaller sized tires. Claims up to 26" tires which is not very big.
