I want to store a set of wheels outside. Does anyone store extra wheels outside? What do you store them in? I want to keep them relatively clean & most importantly keep critters away while in storage.

Put tarp on ground, put tires on tarp, wrap tarp closed.

If the tires are junk, I'd put a sheet of cheap plywood on each side and hold them together with a long bolt.

If they're wheels only, invest in big plastic boxes and keep them out of the sun so they last.

If its tires, and you have pesky neighbors, epa bs would be brought into it.

Platic totes, would be the best storage, in the shed/garage.

You don't want to create a situation where they stay wet all the time -- especially if they are polished/clear coat or chromed in any way. If the tires are gone just give the wheels a good cleaning and use some spray wax on them and stack with the top tire upside down - and cover the top. The tires will protect the rims.

I have a couple sets hanging out this way -- no issues. I found when I tried to wrap them I had condensation and it created a bug/ mouse house.

Remember -- it is a wheel.
