Tire tread on Polyurea

Any ideas what may have caused this? I tried wiping it with a rag dampened with acetone but didn’t help. It’s smooth to the touch.

Tire tread on Polyurea is relatively rare so long as the clear was applied at a spread rate ~200SF per gallon over a properly prepared substrate.

Possible causes:

Thin application of coating/clear
inadequate prep
Waiting to long between coats
Prior stains from oils or tires not removed.

Repairs

Generally speaking repairs with Polyurea are relatively easy but you will want to work directly with the people you purchased from first to isolate the cause if possible.

Agree, we rarely see this on our Polyurea coatings. You may have rolled over some foreign chemical that got into the tires and caused this. Rare but it can occasionally happen with virtually any coating. We have seen these carefully removed with a 3M type pad or Magic Eraser type pad, and recoating the clear.

Relatedly, barely.
Is that from a brand] new tire?
I swapped out one tire on the rv.
It was brand new, had never touched the ground.
It left a mark and no other tire ever has.

Mine is not an epoxy floor.

No, not a new tire. I waited a week before I parked on it. I had good prep. I am leaning towards either waiting too long between coats or I rolled it too thin.

My garage stayed a constant 68.4 degrees as it is a finished garage. I waited 14 hours between the color and the final clear coat but I had about 1/3 of a gallon of clear left over on the final 200 sq.ft so maybe it was on a little thin. Instructions were clear to use all of it but I was afraid of rolling it too thick and having bubbles...noob here!

Going to sand and reapply.

How was the humidity? I believe this stuff needs humidity to cure.

72% humidity the day I rolled it out. I lightly sanded it out with120 grit.
