Do any of you have this tool?

It's a click-type, 50-250 Ft.-Lbs. wrench with a reversible drive plug should you ever need to torque a left-handed fastener.

I have been trying to bolster my torque wrench collection for a long, long time. I didn't want to go the HF route because of a few bad reviews I read (yes, I know of the many positive reviews) and I do trust Titan's general level of quality. Certainly, I greatly prefer to buy USA, but the prices are just not something I can justify for my hobbyist-hack level of use.

I found the Titan on eBay for just over $40 shipped last night for a BNIB wrench. I decided to jump on it. I couldn't find anyone in the archives here who seems to have one. Is there?

i vote accuracy comparison between the HF and the Titan. Willing to bet they will be in the same ball park or the titan edging a bit out.

My bet is that most torque wrenches are fairly accurate initially, with the cheaper ones possibly losing calibration sooner. That's a guess.

I just didn't want the HF. A couple reviews mentioned it slipping under load and people nearly smashing their knuckles to pieces. That was enough for me.

I like Titan stuff and wanted to try this one. The range is also greater by far than the HF IIRC.

Uh, but I didn't want to spend close to $100 on one tool...I just paid $40.

I don't have it personally but on thing I notice about it is the way the torque setting isn't the usual numbers etched into the handle.

The gage in the glass reminds me of the craftsman digitorque model where it has the numbers that rotate behind a small sight glass. The number mechanism fails so you have a perfectly good torque wrench that you cant use because you can't set it. I personally don't like the way they have the plastic setting gage cause it could fail and you might not know any better that your torque is off.

Since you already have it I would say just use it and use common sense when using it. If it don't feel right stop using it and check it.
