Unless I miscounted, they are including the storage rack as one of the "pieces". Just seems lame. If they sold it as an 11 pc set with storage rack, it seems more honest than a 12pc set.

Just got the metric set delivered tonight and they are very very nice, the ratcheting end is very fine and smooth like the original ratcheting Craftsman combo wrenches and it hinges on an allen head bolt so you can tighten them if they get sloppy. The finish is also high quality i dont think you can even come close to beating this deal for less than 7 bucks per wrench.

Interesting. The first gearwrench ones like these had the allen wrench pivot bolt and those things were rockstars. The design changed afterwards to a roll pin when they went to China. At least that's how I remember it. I'm gonna order a set for my son. Thanks OP

LOL I'm pretty sure LXcam hit the nail on the head with describing them as the KD tools wrenches, I read the description on his link and it sounds like the same item as far as the description goes. I don't have any KD wrenches to compare them with so please don't quote me on it.

I ordered both sets. Been waiting for AAP to do the 50% off on their little Gearwrench flex sets. This was more expensive, but worth it for more sizes.

They sure look identical to Gearwrench or KD. And that's pretty good price. I think tool topia has a bogo deal for 118 that includes everything up to 1-1/4". And metric is a little more and goes up to 24. BRB, now I gotta look.

K, it wasn't tool topia. looks like summit has a pretty decent deal if these are kdt

Yeah. This is a great deal IF you don't want the larger sizes.

If so, the GearWrench bogo is a deal... the 4-piece add-on set sells for $92 on sale alone. If you subtract, that means the 12 piece metric set is only $39 :)

The Titan set is essentially the same as the Klutch set at Northern Tool at a much lower price.

Any issues with the smaller size wrench longer than the next larger size wrench?
For example, if you look the pictures, it appears that the 9mm wrench is longer than the 10mm wrench, and the 15mm is longer than the 16mm? Not sure if it just the picture that they photoshopped all the individual wrenched together.

Not seeing the excitement, I've had SAE and Metric flex heads for a few years, just never bothered in sizes above 3/4 and 19mm where I have ratcheting non flex. Where are people seeing the need for larger sizes with a flex head?

If I am wanging on a big fastener I generally don't even want to use a ratcheting wrench, just a long pattern box or combo.

That's true, I have a set of Craftsman non flex reversible ratcheting combos for years myself and the 19mm wrench looks almost new

I'm not saying you do or don't need larger, just saying if that's your thing they're cheaper plus the GW brand :)

I would probably go the GW route just to have the wrenches, would probably never touch them either.

I use mine all the time, they are for sure my go too wrenches, even the big ones :p. No I don't bust fastners loose with them if extremely tight, but I love these things. After all these years my only sloppy one is the 10mm which gets used every single time I'm out there working. And after all the use and sometimes abuse I got nooooo complaints what so ever. Now the few china ones I have had which use the roll pin have all gone to the emergency kits or the trash.

Must be something to do with the camera they're progressively longer according to size.

^^ that's good to know, thanks!
Btw, I have the GW set which is made in China. The flex heads are secured by either a hex or torx, not a roll pin. I used the 24mm on a spring compressor nut.

My sets arrived today. The picture was right. Some of the smaller sizes are longer than the next size up. It's that way in the metric and SAE sets.

That's interesting. I might stop by the local Northern Tool to check them out.

I have a USA-made Craftsman stubby-flex-ratcheting inch set and they are indeed a bit of a PITA. The flex on mine is lockable, which helps, but I only go for these on rare occasions when nothing else fits as well.

Mine finally came yesterday. So I decided to do a little comparison. For the most part they are identical in design and shape of the GW stuff. BUT, the 10mm open end parts is just slightly shorter then the original stuff. Here is the new one over the old.

And here is the old over the new. The ratchet end of the new is just slightly larger in girth then the old, overall maybe a 1/16?.

Mind you, none of this really means ****, but figured I'd show it anyhow. Form and function seems to be identical. I'm thinking the dimensional changes could be a patent or copy right issue, or not :p

Thanks for the deal pointer... Got a set of these in SAE, (have gearwrench ratcheting metric but those are straight). Quality seems good enough and comparable to the GW. I used these the first time last night. Never used a flex head... think the flex is ok so far, when I needed to spin things a bit quicker I just turned the handle way up, then flattened it out for more torque which was convenient.
