Ok guys I'm looking at maybe getting these two ratchet sets....
Both sets are x-long for more leverage....
Top set is fixed heads
Bottom set is flex heads
Both sets measure:
1/4" - 12"
3/8" - 18"
1/2" - 24"

Well... I absolutely love every Titan tool in my box. On the other hand the only one I have is their micro gearless ratchet.

I own the 3 piece long flex head set. It has worked well for it's intended needs. Most notably the 24" for doing dodge hd ball joints and the 18" doing 08 vw touareg rear brakes which are a major pain in the ***. They have paid for themselves. The only thing is that they are face plate is riveted on and I could not grease them. The clones from lowes have a screw in the place of the rivet but for the 60 bucks I paid for the 3 piece set it's all good. The only problem is that my 24" handle came loose but I used some gorilla glue and it has stayed in place.

I have the 3 piece long reach set non flex , the 1/4 inch drive long reach flex head and the 1/2 inch drive long handle with the offset handle ( use this one always , real knuckle saver ) really like these ratchets. btw - I also have the 3/4 drive by 40'' long breaker bar and the inch drive by 40'' long breaker bar ( both from Titan tools ) also love the quality of these.

I have the Titan soft grip ratchets and they've been great. I actively tried to kill them in the past, couldn't do it. I have the 1/4, 3/8 and the 1/2. I had some rusted on lug nuts, and instead of using a breaker bar I just put the 1/2 on it and jumped up and down on it. The lug broke free. I'm 6'3 250+ so I'd say they're pretty durable.

The Titan ratchets are not the same as the Kobalts.

You notice that the ratchets in the center and on the right have a torx screw in the middle (Kobalt and HF respectively) and the Titan on the left does not.

You'll also notice that the heads are different thicknesses too.

Nothing ****, but they work and are a solid, low cost import option. I have the 3/8 long fixed head and it has held up fine. Paid like $20 and the value is definitely there.

I bought a Titan 3/8 drive ratchet adapter to use on the end of a speeder. A guy at work has a Snap On one that I've borrowed a few times, so it was time to buy my own. The SO ones run at around 80$ I believe and I saw the Titan for 11.99 - so hey, why not!

It felt good in my hand, ratchet mechanism was decent, everything I needed. Except in the situation I use it (using a speed handle to get weight onto screws) the whole mechanism binds up at least 50% of the time. Turned into a waste of time and proved to me more frustrating than helpful for my use.

I'm sure you can get by with a lot of the stuff - but I have no faith in this one thing I've picked up from them.

I have a set of the flex head ratchets picture above and they've been great. I initially shied away because of the low cost but they are very good quality in my opinion.

I've also got a few of their ratchets and have been perfectly happy with them.

They are decent imports.I bought the reversible ratchet wrenches and the 3/4 fell apart.half of them kept reversing in use so they went back to northern tools.not pro grade by any means but decent for chinese crapola.I really wanted them to be good as I like the reversing lever style . A slider Like cornwells.and those"rivets "are just pushed in pins easily removed with pliers.

Think most of their stuff (if not all) is rebranded. So you might find the same thing cheaper elsewhere (but probably not in a set; never seen them in such a set elsewhere). It would depend on how cheap they are honestly. If the set is 30-40 bucks that's probably cheaper than you're going to find them with a kobalt or pittsburgh pro tag on them.

Ugh. The Kobalt/Pittsburgh ratchets are DIFFERENT. See the picks. No selector screw on Titan unlike the Kobalt/Pittsburgh ratchets. Oh, and the head sizes are different too.

If only somebody would have taken the time to show the differences with pictures. :lol_hitti

I have the flex head set of ratchets at work. Bought them at a swap meet for 15 bucks like new absolutely love them and I want another set for at home. I prefer locking flex head on such a long ratchet but for the cost Im not complaining

I looked a titan ratchets at Northern while comparing them to Kobalt. Very similar. IMHO the main difference was the titans were less consistent in quality. On a rack of 10 or so about half of them turned smoothly.

If I'm not mistaken Mac's extra long 1/2" Dr. Flex head is a rebranded Titan ratchet.
I have Mac's version and like it. Would say it is ALMOST truck brand quality and well above Harbor Freight quality.

Titan, Mountain, Genius, and maybe Toptul seem very related, and sourced from Taiwan, not China.

I like all that I have, and plan on getting a few more items like the tiny bit and 1/4 drive ratchets.

I think it was Titan that used to spec all their tools as S2 steel.

I have the extra long flex handled ratchet set and some of their short Torx sockets, I have been very pleased with them after a couple of years of use
