Lol we have been slow this week, last week we were slammed and saturday we had 30 appointments scheduled before 11 but I think monday service pulled in 400 dollars total! So I dont think I have had much to do then sit in a lawn chair and polish away
Called the stanley customer service on friday and asked about the 440 series wrenches and he looked in the computer and confirmed that they are made in Taiwan. The series 45 to
ther wrenches are from italy, ratchets too, jacks spain, pliers + screwdrivers france, hammers taiwan/france, 1" sockets france (didnt asked about smaller sizes).........

USAG hammers don't hold up so well, either loose handles new or faces that mushroom or chip other USAG stuff is ok hammers not so good
I have a full set of 440's from 4mm to 34mm and they are without doubt
the best spanners I have ever used. so strong and very comfortable, you will
not be dissapointed. (I hope)
p.s. Just try not to look directly at them when you use them or you may
throw up all over your engine...
I actually like how these lookbut I am in a small minority I would suspect.... I'm sure I have written this

I don`t know if Toptul also supplies the hammers, i guess the wooden handle hammers are still from france , the stanley/USAG/Facom Graphite hammers maybe then from Taiwan, but i don`t think from Rotar. They only have a limited amount of hammers (no french pattern, only 1 engineers hammer...). I`ll call them next week again to find out more since i want to make sure if i should buy a Facom hammer that it`s not the same than the stanley hammer ...
yeah Bost , no question. The new screwdrivers still have "France" on them, the pliers i guess so too, i just ordered 1 pair... I`ll see then... Aluminium locking pliers have also "France" stamped in, oil filter wrench and Nut Drivers too as well as the T-handle tools.

I agree. They are pretty ugly and don't look nearly as comfortable as the old 40 series which is an excellent wrench.
Well, I clicked on Mr. Schoendorff's link and saw one very ugly wrench; I think I'll pass on those.

Don't have any pics here at home but just regular USAG 16oz Ball Peen hamer and a 5 pound engineers hammer and some small tin smith type hammers
