To buy or not..

A friend I know is selling some tools because his current job placement is management in the oil field and he doesn't use them anymore...
So all his tools haven't really been used in the past 7 years.
The majority is craftsman usa (about 20 years old) some snap on mostly ratchets (past 12 years) and some blackhawk... What should I buy? He's willing to sell to me heavily discounted...

Note the craftsman stuff has older forge markings like all the wrenches are VV or prior and same period with ratchets.
