I have run into a dilemna on wiring my new 28x48x14 pole building.
My construction consists of 6x6 posts every 12 feet, 2x6 residential style framing in between posts, and 6x12 Glu Lams running on top of the poles supporting residential trusses. Wiring is going in the walls using 12/2 romex.
I have drilled holes through the 2x6s and middle poles, but am frazzled with what I should do on the ends. Should I drill 2 holes at 90 degrees through the post and fish wire through??? Or should I notch the 2x6s and poles and stay on the inside surface with notch protectors?
Also, up at the rafters I need to figure the best way to get wire through. There is about a half inch width difference between the wall and Glu Lam that would allow me to run the wire between the Glu Lam and drywall (cover with metal protector), or should I drill through the 12 inch Glu Lam???
I am just starting spring break and have the time now to get started. Thanks for any help!
