To make into 1 or leave alone

I picked up a couple of used items. 1 being a 3000 psi gas pressure washer. Second is a “TUFF” water heater.

Should I leave these in seperate pieces or try imalgamate into one unit. I would guess I would use the pressure washer by itself half the time. If you would put them together would you destruct and modify to fit them together differently than how they are setup or just figure out the nicest way to join them and do that?

All depends on what you plan to use it for.

Those are both larger pieces of equipment. Combined they look like they'd be a chore to move. How portable do you need it? Also sounds like you'll often not use the heater?

Personally - I'd keep them separate but build a custom hose set so that they're easily used together when needed.

My thought is that if the pressure washer isn't specifically designed for hot water then you are sending it on a suicide mission by removing the expected cooling from ambient (or lower temp) water flow...

I think even the hot water washers pressurize the uncooled water an send it thru the heater pressurized

Like my dad’s hotsy this is meant to send pressurized water through the heater. Or so I’m assuming. The pressure washer itself has no clue wethaer or not the water is coming out of the hose hot or cold. There is quick couplers on both and I’ve got a short maybe 25’ hose I can join the two when needed and a 100’ hose for the gun. I don’t have a hose reel though. Haven’t been able to find a good priced one and maybe if left in 2 pieces a hose reel that can be easily moved would be better. I don’t think I’d need them any more mobile then out the front door of the shop. That being said it could be beneficial to make a small hitch attachment for the lawn mower to poultry it by... since it’s gas fired.

Good point. However I don't see anything on that heater that says to me, "I'm an xxxx psi pressure vessel designed for hot water service". Maybe its inside the black enclosure....?

If you blow up a tank full of heated water its just not good.

Just be careful is all.
