got this off of craigslist today for $75. anybody have any experience with these, i didn't even bother trying to start it for that price. looks like i may need a key of some sort to start i do not have one, any idea where i may find one. thanks.

It is 103 degrees outside now with a 20 mph wind. The humidity is 7%.....and I came across a snowblower thread? I love this forum....it allows me to dream of snow.

I've no clue on these newer type Simplicity's...

Right or wrong here is what I'd do for under $20, see if you can get the engine running.
I'd pop the spark plug and drip some oil in there.
Clean the spark plug
Drain the oil and change it.
With spark plug out, i'd pull it slowlly to see if it still turns over.
If yes, drain all the fuel and check the carb for gunk.
Clean gunk and get 1 gallon of Non-Oxygenated Fuel.
Try to start it, and use staring fluid before you flood it but not off the bat.
