ive been waiting for over a year to swap these out.

the SO boxes were donated by a former employee for shop tool storage. he's been gone for 18 months, and never asked for them back
the remline pro's were saved from the scrap pile, finally got the ok to swap them out.

the newest boxes i have are a set of SO/harley 90th anv editions.

i dont plan on buying any new boxes, i have ample storage for the tools i have now, especially with tools scattered in the shop, service truck, garage, and basement workshop.

i suppose if i hadto have everything in one place, i might change my mind,
but probably not,
everything's paid for,
and i'm a cheap bastid anyway :bounce:

Dad has a Remline Pro setup just like the set that you traded. But......the Snap-On boxes are pretty cool.

Scott

when i picked up the remline boxes i was impressed with the quality.
i used them for a year or so in my rented shop space, when i closed up shop, i ran out of room for them in the garage, and had them stored in the basement.

i have a tendency to hang onto toolboxes, everytime i get rid of one, i regret getting rid of it eventually.:(
i have 2 SO side boxes of the "correct" vintage for the kr537/kra300, all i have to do now is reorganize the entire garage :headscrat

I love that style of Snap-On top chest. Saw one in excellent condition a few years ago that sold for $100. Didn't have the money at the time and almost cried when I saw someone buy it. Ironic thing, I had an unexpected check that came in the mail that day for around $1400 (medical reimbursement). Had it come the previous day, I'd have been all over that box.

I'm still in shock someone would trash the Remlines, but nice trade!

the remlines were "shop boxes" that we kept special tools in.
the knucklehead lead mechanic "donated" the SO boxes and was gonna scrap the remlines, and an old set of wards powrkraft boxes.
i took both sets of them home for safe keeping. :lol_hitti

i gave the wards boxes to a friend of mine, and in the meantime the knucklehead mech got laid off, he took his other boxes with him, but never returned for the old SO boxes. after 18 months i got the ok to return the remlines and give the SO boxes a new home.
