A while back I found Wilde Tool on Facebook. I sent a message to them asking about some replacement grips for an old pair of pliers I had.

I got a message back the other day saying they would send me a pair and I could just glue them on. I asked if I could just pick them up since I work in Hiawatha. They said sure and to bring the pliers and they would put them on for me. So I did that today.

I got there today and meet Lucas. He took my pliers into the shop and in less than five minutes they were good as new. Lucas and I talked for a few minutes. He mentioned Epstein's as a distributor and I said I had been there and mentioned Jori whom I know off but don't personally know. I mentioned Garage Journal and he knew about us. I left there with an increased opinion of their quality and customer service.

So I encourage everyone to think of Wilde and give them a try. They sell their own branded tools thru Epsteins and others but also make pliers for Tekton, prybars for Craftsman, and punches and cheisels for Menards. I understand they are also oem for Klein punches and cheisels.

Also, I always pronounced the name Wild but it is in fact pronounced with a long e on the end.

I've never heard of them in Pa. but I see Amazon carries their full line. I'll have to give them a try

Every time I drop into Menards I pick up something Wilde. Did you actually get to see the manufacture or do any kind of your or anything?

Ok, now you've done it. I'll probably order something from them before the end of the day. I thought I had at least one tool of every tool manufacturer there was, but I don't think I have anything of theirs and I've never heard of them, either.

Very cool. So nice to hear about excellent customer service. I've got a few Wilde tools I ordered through Harry Epstein. Haven't used them much but look good and work well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more. I'll look for them next time in the U.S. at Menards.
