Well, I posted a wrench yesterday and today is something new. The story begins when I bought an acreage and it has a 45 by 65 pole barn that is just filled from front to back, floor to ceiling with stuff. I am cleaning it out to fix it up and turn it into my shop.

Here is the find today. I think this is "REALLY" cool.

An old tin shovel toy. It doesnt really have any markings or made in or names on it. It says Wyandotte on the front. I havent looked up any info yet. I think its pretty dang cool though. The other track is broken. But everything else still works on it.

If you keep finding stuff like that and sell it off, you might have that place free and clear.

Stuff like this I probably wont sell. Things like this are just way to cool to get rid of. And I dont even know what this thing would even be worth. I hope I keep finding stuff like this though.

Finding the right buyer is always a challenge, but you'd be surprised what that could be worth.

Here is a link to a similar one. http://www.rubylane.com/item/604354-gy-001337/1930s-Wyandotte-LIMA-Diesel-Steam

Wyandotte toys was also known as All Metal Products Company. Major makers of childrens toy rifles and guns as well as other pressed metal toys in the 20's/30's. During WW2 they could not use metal so used cardboard and paper. After the war they resumed making die cast and plastic toys. They went out of business in the late 50's.

DO NOT FIX IT.

That toy is worth way more than most people would guess. One of the biggest rules in antiques is to not repair them. Leave it to the experts. Most of the time a layman tries to fix an antique they actually end up lowering its value.
