Went to an estate sale this morning, and I was suprisingly one of only a couple people there interested in the tools. This is what I scored,I think the box is a K-77.

On the way home I went to another one,and everything was pretty well scavenged...except for this guy for $4.00!!

He swings...he HITS the ball, and it's going, going....it's OUTTA HERE! Home run for FoMoCoPower!!

Hey, with the profits from this cool haul, you ought to able to afford a Chevy now! (snicker) :spit: :spit: Then you really can have some "power" at the end of your user name!

Just KIDDING!! (chuckle).

Really though...GREAT haul. Now tell what the tools are...and if we aren't being too nosy...what did the first sale cost you?

Sockets are mostley Snap-On,a few Plomb, and a few Craftsman. Snap-On extension,Snap-On distributor wrenches. S-K extensions,Plomb, extension. Bonney,Herbrand,Craftsman, and Wright ratchets. MAC socket, and wrench. BluePoint wrenches. FORD adjustable,Craftsman crowsfeet. SUN timing light. Chas Parker Vise, and (2) Craftsman cantilever boxes.

Might go back tomorrow to see what I missed. I passed on a bunch of S-K sockets.

Gotta few other things non tool-related,but the whole lot was $95.00.

Wow, FABULOUS. I'm jealous. You buy smaller quantities of better items. Smart!

They had a TON of craftsman stuff there too,I usually pass on it...but the sockets I grabbed were 6-pt deep metrics. Still a ton more tools there of all kinds, and mostly quality suff for you Chicago area guys,it was on the North Side.

I bought that same timing light new in 60 or 61 for $32.00 and I have the same SO box I bought used in about 61 for $25.00. The box dates back to about 46-48.

I remember my father had one just like it. I was about 8 years old when he got it. He also bought the matching Tach/Dwell/Volt meter at the same time. He traded it in on a new Scope setup about a year later. I used the same scope until around 79 when I got a new Sun Scope anylizer. I rode that thing into the 90's. They built some really great stuff back in the day.

I have the same box, an old but nice box.

Yeah,it`s not bad. I`m tempted to try a restoration on it,but it`ll probably end up on Ebay. The last one I had on there went to Japan...they really seem to like vintage Snap-On boxes out there.

very nice, when I got I can't turn around without knocking over a dozen other guys. Last time there were probably about 25-35 guys huddled around 20 tables of junk. I got the only 2 good boxes...
