I had a half hour to kill, so I stopped in the local pawn shop to dig through their "bulk tool" bins. I call them the scrap and **** bins.
THOUSANDS of sockets in there right now! And tons of broken junk.
But here's what I managed to haul away. It's not much, but keep in mind I paid only 3 dollars cash for all of it. I got:
Proto 5249 professional 3/8" ratchet
Cincinatti Tool C-Clamp
Brink & Cotton C-Clamp
A big 1/2" grab hook
A brand new 3/8" extension (Task Force)
A VERY tiny little vise (well, half of it anyway)
Not bad, I think.
I'm not sure what the vise is. Half of it is missing. But it was cool and I wanted it as part of the deal. I'll start another thread with better pics. Maybe someone will know more.
The Proto ratchet was the real score. I thought it was rusty and chipped. But everything turned out to just be dirt and old grease on it. It looks like new now! I think that's a pretty expensive tool. It's REALLY dry inside but works fine. I'll take it apart and lube it up asap.
