Not the best I've found, but the best tool I've found in a few months. And I don't have one. I do have the SAE equivalent, so this will be a decent addition to my pneumatic tool bin.

The fine print (which I had to use a magnifying glass to read):

19x21mm
CR-MO
Taiwan
2392D
GP which after a quick search I learned means Grey Pneumatic

$13 shipped on eBay, so no great loss for the wrench that left it on a car.

Oh, and for those of you that are breaking in a new SO, she knew I picked it up in the road. It took 3 years for her to realize this. The first year, she was shocked. Second, surprised. Now, she knows, but will probably never truly understand.

My SO points stuff out at times and once made me come with her to PU a kids mini red roll top desk. After clean up and one minor repair, it sits in the dining room as a telephone table (nicks scratches and all) and the three drawers are the Std kitchen "junk collection " drawer. Re-finish? The one time I suggested it she told me in no uncertain terms it's "patina" was perfect shabby chic. :dunno:

Found this at the curb this week. It was in a black plastic box that looked like it could have been for a power tool. I’m guessing they are ACME thread? Now to find a project to build out of it.…

I found a Stihl 3-in-1 Chainsaw Wrench on our street, likely dropped by a landscaper. Not something you would want to run over!
I gave it to my tree guy since I don't have any 2-cycle anymore. He was happy and said they get lost all the time.

I posted about it before, but one night while walking the dog I spotted an engine stand with a "free" sign on it. I sprinted back home, got my van, and went back for it. I wiped it off, took a picture and sold it on Craigslist for $60.

Wait. What in the serious ****

You all are finding Snap On tools on the side of the road?

How? You spot it going down the road doing 45 mph and come to a screeching halt? lol

Only thing on the side of the road here is broken glass, road kill and an occasional $4 plastic hub cap.

Left under the hood by a mechanic in a rush... (Those guys would never make it as an aircraft mechanic...)

Reminds me if a guy I worked with years ago that was a pilot during Korea, (English) he HATED flying American fighter planes as when he went upside down he said all too often her got wrenches and screwdrivers banging into the cockpit cowl

I see vehicles come to a screeching halt and pick up stuff from time to time. I could kick myself for not paying more attention to the little details. Mostly what I find is Kobalt or harbor freight brand.

I don’t often find high quality stuff either. It is often HD house brand or worse. I usually see it then pull a u-turn to grab it.

I was driving with a friend in the mountains outside San Diego when I pulled over. She had no idea why. I asked, didn't you see that impact socket just off the shoulder? It looked like a 21mm 1/2" drive, and I need one of those.

Nope. It was 7/8". :( My eyesight must be slipping.

She never saw a thing until I brought it back to the truck. Some people don't watch the road, I guess. As a lifelong road cyclist, my eyes are *always* on the road ahead.

Happy Birthday to me. There are a couple of more still in the intersection but they will probably get bounced to the side in a few days. All Hart brand except the 10mm craftsman combo (which cleaned up nicely with the wire wheel.

On Bird Rd. in Miami FL I missed being able to make a U-turn due to too-much traffic, and lack of planning on my part. I had to go to the next left-turn lane, and when I did, there it was lying alongside the curb. I pulled into the next business with a curb-cut, and ran back and snagged it before anyone else spotted it and beat me to it. I lubricated it before testing it, and it works perfectly. I had bought some rear struts for my wife's Camry from Rock Auto, and this made quick work of it. After that, I asked at a FL Tire Kingdom chain store, "how-much for OEM-quality McPherson struts on a Camry?" They quoted me $1,600! For Monroes. No thanks! Another Rock Auto order, and about two hours, and the fronts were done. Thanks, I.-R.!

I've found many tools along the roadside in FL, including an Echo CS300 chainsaw, it needed a chain; a commercial Husky 8 ft A-frame fiberglas ladder; another A-frame fiberglas ladder, 10 ft; and many screws, nails, and once a like-new 1/8" Craftsman allen key through the tread of my brand-new Dunlop K-591 rear tire on my KZ1000.

Trail-riding w/a G.F. on horses, I found a great-shape fiberglas hammer.

I find a lot of tools riding a bicycle, a surprising number of 1/2 and 9/16 wrenches given that cars are all metric now. I mostly find cheap tools, I figure they fell out of the back or a truck or through a rusty trunk. I once found a Paslode nail gun that took cartridges of some type, I gave that to Habitat for Humanity. My son has a good collection going of tools I have found.

Found this guy yesterday. I had seen it a week earlier and knew it was a hitch mount for a D-ring shackle but didn’t know it was aluminum until I grabbed it. Very light road rash.

2X I have found a locking lug key in the road, or close to it. Both times it was mine as it tends to stick on the nut and I miss it. then I drive and ts gone.

First time I walked miles looking for it. It turned out to be 3 blocks away (with 2 right turns) in a crosswalk.

Second time I found it near the corner of a park I had not driven near, I'm guessing a kid found it, picked it up, played with it on the way home, and dropped it when they got bored. I found it on my morning walk (that includes a loop around the park) days later...

I've painted that sucker Chevy engine orange...
