Found a 8pc deep set of 1/2" SAE impact sockets on Craigslist today

The 1 1/8" socket is brand new. The others look to be used pretty good, the drive end is a little rounded. They will probably work find, but do you think SO would warranty them so they would all match the brand new one? :p

Here is a pic:

Even if they wouldnt, I'm pretty psyched at the $55 price point!

Oh, this little gem popped up on CL later today, I am thinking about going to pick it up, they only want $300 for it, its a KRA2007. I dont have much experience with SO boxes (Never thought I could afford them), is this a good box? I'm skeptical at this price.

On to the pic:

I have a KRA2007 and love it.
Only thing is I had to add extra slides to one 4" drawer cause I loaded all my 1/2" drive into it.

Those sockets aren't worn - they're seasoned.

I say instead of trying to warranty the rest, break in the 1-1/8

HAHA thats definitely a glass half full approach...

TBH I might never use a 1 1/8" socket, I most just tool around in the garage, on mostly automotive things... I dont usually run into much of anything larger than 3/4". I guess I fall into that "tool polisher" header...

Edit: is that a good price on that box? SO's site lists it around 1100 IIRC, but I dont know how desireable these are... they sound pretty tiny at 26" wide.

that is not too bad of a price. might try and talk em down 40-50 bucks. that would look better to me. you can always ask a dealer what they have hiding at home. you would be shocked at some of the stuff we put away.

the box is at a pawn shop, when I emailed them, I got an automated reply with a 10% off coupon. So $270 would be the price, assuming I cant get them to budge off the asking price before I show them the coupon :p

Im just a home mechanic... I'm not blessed (or cursed??) with a snap on dealer that visits regularly.

The Pawn shop most likely has around $150.00 invested in that box if they are like most pawn shops so that tells you where their wigleroom is .

Skip this one and get a bigger one.:bounce:

^ Do this if possible:) But that KRA2007 is a great box. Since the shop is short on space, I work out of mine everyday and it holds up well. Word of warning: If you get this, you will instantly want a KRA2055 to top it off! Then you will quickly out grow that, and the process continues.
