toe gage to set up alignment

years ago I had a toe bar to set my toe in /out for alignment lost track of it years ago I think some one borrowed years ago and didn't return it
I have looked all over to replace it harbor freight sears auto parts stores and I can't find one any were
has any one have a lead were to find one thats not 3.000 dollars

Speedway motors had one for about $89 if I remember right, but it would be pretty easy to make one yourself.

I have been using something similar to this one for more than fifty years. Adding ball bearings to the ends makes it very easy to use. Easy to make up too....if you have a decent scrap collection.

I like the home made set up I remember as a kid see a guy use that I don't under stand about the ball bearings at the end could you post a little more infer for this set up I have the time to build one of theses

Stick a single (ball) bearing on the ends. Or, if the center is a solid rod, round over the end. If you have no bearings on hand, round over a stub to fit the tubing end.

Works much more smoothly than leaving the ends sawed off at 90*.
