Made vs buying and they are so much better. I didn't shop for price but a roll of mesh was 90$, got about 40 for labor for my helper to fabricate them. A pair of small bolt cutters and a little jig I made from a pipe ****** to bend the hooks, I have under 2$ in each one.

call your local cemetery and see if they have floral stands. They are often left on site and a collection builds. They will give them away around here sometimes. They are 1/4 thick, you just have to tack weld the arm holding the legs together

Nice idea!
A quick way to hold them together would be hog rings. Hog rings (and hog ring pliers) work very quickly, and with something like that, you just have to get the halves close enough to get in the teeth of the staple, and the pliers will do the rest.

I might build some of those next year! I've got some decent store-bought ones, and just am not happy with them.

We use the 8' mesh to let the beans climb on. We strech it out and hold it up with T posts. We have also bent it a 1/2 circle and it is mostly self supporting.
