My signon relates to a truck I restored many years back. I still own it, but maybe not for long, as we are relocating from NY to TN. Back to the truck, it is a '53 C750 highway tractor.
I worked for a major corporation as a machine repairman and an engineer but without the degree. I always had something going on the side, built a carwash, dabbled in excavation, which I did full time after I retired. After a few years of that, built self storage, some of the buildings wife and I built ourselves . Eventually sold the business and tried to retire again, but it didn't take. Bought property in TN, had 44x50 barn built, wife and I did all the interior. It has an RV bay, a truck garage bay and shop space. Finishing shop space shortly, and will be moving tools and equipment to TN. Just bought a 32' highway trailer to accomplish that. Have restored '74 KW to tow it with, and still have a CDL from a stint in trucking prior to the corporate career.
