Nice industrial quality Japanese tools, often with satin finish instead of chrome.

After doing some more looking at pictures of the Tone ratchet on google, it looks to be a 3/8 drive in 1/4 body, like the Wright 3430 that is a favorite on here. So it is similar mechanism to the ratchets I posted links to, but in a size that is unavailable from the other suppliers. Now if I can just find that Anvil to put in my Powerbuilt 1/4 x 9 inch flex ratchet...

Recently got one from amazon.jp. Hard to describe just how small the thing is - here's a pic next to a Stanley utility knife. Reddit uses a banana for scale...but I didn't have one of those handy. :)

That appears to be shorter yet, and the model number RC3CHS, has an additional S from the OP model number. How long it it?

I have a few of their ratchets, be aware, T-ONE lies about where their tools are made, just don't think you are buying a Japanese made tool, overlooking that, they are not bad. I bought some unique 1/2" drive stubby ratchets that I couldn't find anyone else selling.

Laser etched “Japan” as well...not too worried about where it was made, but for what it cost, it shouldn’t be made in either Taiwan or China.

I emailed Tone on a price on the 3/8 anvil to retrofit one of my 1/4 drive Powerbuilts, $42 for the repair kit, might as well buy a whole new ratchet.

Did someone say Tone RH4CHS?

Here's a mini speed ratchet I have for wheel lugs. 1/2" drive in a mini 3/8" body.

Tone RH4CHS, KTC extension, Koken nut-grip 19mm.

May I recommend you upgrade to koken extensions? The knurling is worth every penny.

I'd like to get the Koken extensions but I haven't seen them for sale in 1/2". Maybe I'm doing a bad job searching. Where did you get them?

Amazon.co.jp

Franktools

Both should have them.

I wonder if the rebuild kit for that will drop in the regular 1/4 drive head and where I might find one if it does. Does anyone know?

Amazon COO is hit or miss. Most likely these are from Taiwan but I'd contact TONE or frankstools for confirmation.

yes i may contact frank or tone to be sure. many ratcheting wrenches seem to be taiwan. even hazet and stahwille and gedore red are taiwan i think. only original gedore is germany.

I've been eyeing those Tones --- but also found Koken makes a 3/8 in a 1/4" body, too. In their highly regarded Z-Series/Z-eal ratchets... the 2725Z-3/8(L160) looks especially nice.. IMO.

Koken makes suprisingly few 1/2" drive handles in the Z-series... but they do make others like the 3749SB-1/2, which looks like a 1/2" drive in a shorty 3/8" body...

and the 2749 series for 3/8 in a 1/4" form-factor

and 3/8 in 1/4" form factor in a flexhead:

Also just got my hands on a bunch of these -- Nepros, Koken, Tone, Powerbuilt, Wright, Proto, Gearwrench -- and some other ones -- the stand-outs to me are going to be waiting for the Koken in a 3/8 in 1/4" body with the 72T design --- and honestly -- the Tone for just being tiny.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the Powerbuilt unit too -- and that isn't a tool brand I've ever used -- who know how it'd stand up to use.

I don't think you can beat the backdrag on the Koken though -- and in this form factor -- at least for my uses -- it could end up being important!

Anyhoo -- I've started doing a few tool reviews on YouTube so check it out there:
