Too cold to do epoxy?

As most of you are, I'm experiencing the winter weather of doom at the moment and need to epoxy my garage before i start moving in! I only have a few days off until we start moving in and need to get it done. Im in a hurry mainly because im moving gun safes in and dont wanna epoxy after they get put in! Any advice would be awesome so i dont waste money

Read the product Data sheet. My epoxy install needed a minimum floor temp of 55 degrees.

Here are some tips that might help you with applying epoxy in cold weather.

I set up 3 or 4 electric heaters for a few day prior to doing my floor. Got the floor temp up to 60 and it turned out great.

Ps I did hang the heater off the walls on temp shelves to keep the temp up while it cured.

Epoxy is one of those things that is a lot harder to fix than it is to do right the first time.

I would wait.....yea, you want to move in...but....in cases of epoxy....rushing it is a formula for failure.

Move in...then this spring...do a spring cleaning of the garage and then epoxy it. Also less chance of damaging it since the move will be over.

yeah i think im just going to wait and move in stuff and then move stuff out in the spring when its not freezing!

I totally agree with the above.

We do installs year round(4-6 per week), from 14 degrees all the way up to 110! We have done epoxy as well in the winter temps, we use a fast cure system and let it cure 24 hours before getting back on it for additional work.

Really all depends on your coatings and what their limitations are specs.
