I saw it. I sent a mail telling her it was worth much more that her asking. I am assuming it was a scam.

I missed the ad but sometimes people put up to good to be true ads to collect email addresses to sell. Another thing I noticed is good deals get flagged and removed quickly, I think resellers flag them so no one else sees them. It happened to a couple of ads I put on craig's list using to different cities (some stuff was at the shop, some at home), they were flagged almost immediately after I put them up and I got emails from the same guy with low-ball offers. I've seen the phone number he sent me on many for sale ads.

Who knows, could have been real, every once in a while a sweet deal comes along.

About 2 years ago we had a local CL ad for a shed full of tools. "I don't know what they are or what they are called. Come make me an offer" I called and went the next morning. Story turns out that her BF ran off with another woman he met on the internet. She was selling everything he had left behind to pay some bills she was stuck with. I bought a truckload (and I mean truckload) full of Cman, a little Snap-On, a few power tools, couple boxes all for $150.00. I sold what didn't want and made around 500.00. Still have a ton of it left. (In all honesty I did not know so many hand tools were inthe bottom of the boxes. Including an old F150 truck box that was full and hand tools were all on the bottom.

Last year, local lady contacts me with a motorcycle for sale. 2003 GSXR (650/750? can't remember). Anyhow, I go over there and it was in pieces in milk crates and boxes. Story was that it was in both names. She caught him with another woman on the back. While he was at work she threw all his stuff out and took the bike apart and burnt the seat. I bought the whole thing for $150.00 and sold the motor the next day for $1100.00...

I guess the moral of this story is to call no matter what!!! ... lol
