They tend to get left at peoples' houses like if I am over at a relative's house helping them out with a repair.

I don't mind. I usually take my HF freebies (that 6 pack you get with a coupon) and will leave the entire set sometimes. It's amazing how little tools a lot of people have. They think if they have a Phillips and a slotted, they're good to go. But there are different sizes of tips and lengths. And sometimes they need to use them for pry bars (if they don't have a nice selection of screwdrivers then they will not have any pry bars).

I had a full set of HAZET screwdrivers at home and a full set of SK in my toolbox at work. When my Dad died, I got his collection of hundreds of screwdrivers. I divided Dad's collection in sets and gave them away to maintainance men at local churches. Dad went to church so I thought this was a good idea. I am not a church going person.

I say dump the really crappy ones, the one where the chrome seems to be separating or the tips are mangled. To me it seems like these are the cheap imported ones & the cheap generic Chinese are not even the worst, I had some Pakistani ones and even a few from India. Cheap manufacturing is all over.

But I do like a good set with hardened tips.

I use the Chinese ones as loaners or to bend into a special shape for a job. Just bent one the other week to make the tool to remove the rear view mirror from my Mustang.

The truth is I have thrown more screwdrivers than the OP has in that picture.
