Too many Sticky Threads

Isn't the point of the "Sticky for Stickies" thread to consolidate and unclutter the top of the page? In the General Tool Discussion area we are back up to five again. Anyone else annoyed by this?

Yes, that is the point of the Sticky for Stickies. Since the school year began in September, I have had much more limited time to do stuff on here, so keeping up with that might have fallen by the wayside.

I just unstuck the compressor recall thread and put it in the Stickies folder. That leaves three stickies other than the catch-all that I created. I do not believe those three can be unstuck at this time. But, there are now 25% fewer stickied threads, so that's progress, right?

Is it in any way shape or form possible to upgrade the search so that reliance on stickies is not an issue? I know many people have often said that search is very limiting.

I came up with the idea merely to address the issue of there once being so many stickies at the top of the forums, the new posts didn't even show up on the screen when you first entered.

If the idea is not useful or not being used by members anyway, then I won't be butthurt of if it goes away.

I think the problem is that only 10% of the people know how to search. That's why there are so many threads on the same topic. It's funny when people make a new thread about 12 or 6pt sockets every week.

Click on "new posts". Problem solved, save time.

I just go to google and search garage journal along with the keyword. Much easier to find things.
