I ran some wire and installed a light fixture in my son's closet today. Everything worked out fine but I started thinking maybe I jammed too much into the outlet box. What do you guys think?
This is what was wired:
Power coming into outlet #1, then run to a switch which controls outlet 2. A middle of the run outlet, I think the pros call it?
This is what I added:
I ran wire from outlet #1 to a new switch that controls the 23W light fixture.
So, basically 1 outlet runs power out to 2 switches, 1 switch that controls an outlet and one switch that controls the light fixture. It seemed a little tight getting all the wiring back into the outlet box, that's why I ask.
On the other hand, nothing's on fire yet
What say you guys? (everything is 14/2wg if that matters, running off a 15A)
Thanks
