dont need the tool.. just lock in another wrench like everyone else does
when you can spend $40 for a piece of steel (???) "not made in china" (is this spelling even right?)
That's not too badly over priced if it is machined. If it is cast, which I doubt, then it would be over priced.
Notice they don't say Made in USA anywhere I can find. Not made in China could mean made in India for all we know.
KNUCKLEBUDDY is casted in Mexico.

colin39, that's a really cool tool.
it's machined so nice it even fakes the casting marks ... maybe the deburing guy is called Machina ... that way it's machined too![]()
Casted. That alone is enough for me to keep my distance.

Alot of the guys i work with use one of these

i really like that
Too bad it wouldn't work with my robo grips. Could really use more leverage for rounding bolts quickly and efficiently.
How about a knucklebuddy connected to a chinese adjustable wrench connected to robo grips? All the leverage one needs for efficiently rounding bolts.
It works really well and if it aint long enough then use a breaker bar as well

Because Robogrips even need help rounding bolts!Too bad it wouldn't work with my robo grips. Could really use more leverage for rounding bolts quickly and efficiently.
American ingenuity:
Beats using another wrench hands down.
In regards to the KNUCKLEBUDDY tool. Nowadays, alot of tools are made in China. KNUCKLEBUDDY is not made in China; It is made in Mexico; the site "does" mention that on FAQ's. While having a conversation with a well known tool truck brand dealer he mentioned that less and less tools are made in the USA. The main and only reason is price. The better tools are now either made in Canada or Mexico. Or the **** made in China; Sure we all love to see that our purchase is made in the USA! He said that more and more mechanics are using tools "NOT" made in the USA. Manufactures are force to move production off shore in order to make tools affordable. For example: some craftsman tools.
So, we are left with the choice of paying the 80.00 made in the USA or the 35.00 made in ? or the 19.95 made in China. The question is: will it help us perform the job and will it last? We are talking about tools not cars. What brand of car do you drive? I'm sure you get my point. (Price, features, benefits, usage, appeal, COST). Millions of cars on ours USA highways are "NOT" made in CHINA or the USA.
I own a KNUCKLEBUDDY. I paid $29+S&H. Worth every penny. I introduced the tool to two auto shops that I frequent. Bryan's Auto Repair and Simon's Auto Repair in the Phoenix metro area. "Bryan stated: "I'll never double-wrench again" and Gaz at Simon's stated: "We love KNUCKLEBUDDY"; use it all the time.
I say let's stop knocking American ingenuity without verifying our perceptions.
How many of you own a KNUCKLEBUDDY? I contacted them to let them know what I had read on the forum; and guess what they are now offering a 20% discount for the first 10 KNUCKLEBUDDIES ordered with the following coupon code:notmadeinchina and that this coupon will not be advertised anywhere else. Only one per customer.
Just google the name.

Just another lame gimmick. Fine if you need to get out of an occasional jam. Otherwise, get a set of long pattern combos.
Or a set of these:
Some may call them expensive. I call them "cheaper than my ER copay."
