I have this Dewalt tool carrier and I think it's awesome. I don't use it every day, just for home use. I did load it in the truck every other day with about 40 lbs of tools for a couple months while I was renovating a rental property. No rips or deforming. I also had it hanging on the wall by the handle with it mostly filled when I didn't feel like unloading it and it didn't deform either. The bigger Dewalt zip up big bags are good to throw big tools in and are cheap.

Edited to add picture. Theres around 30 lbs of tools there and that's the least that's ever been in it.

I really like Husky tool bags from Home Depot. Of all the stores I tried the Husky was better. They are laid out nice and very strudy. I had a Craftsman before it and it was junk compared to the husky. Good prices too. One of the hidden gems at Home Depot I guess

I have veto and don't really like it. It is very well built but it seams to be designed for someone very organized. I have also owned a dewalt again while well bulit it didn't fit my needs. My kunny 8x8 was my favorite so far but got a little to small. My next one is going to be a ocidental 5585.

I use this tool bag at work. I work in food service and facility management I carry about 75lbs of tools into a job with just this bag alone. The wheels and handle make it priceless. It is made in china but all of husky's tool bags carry a lifetime warranty.

wife bought me one of those bags a year or so ago.

she had the right idea, :D
but i had no room for it in my service truck.

i seldom carry the same tools for any particular job, and a lot of what i do have to carry, wouldnt fit in the bag anyway

I use a Pelican Case 1560, with the organization setup in the lid. For the inside I don't have any of the foam or liner I use RedOxx shaving kit bags for organizing the different hand tools and inspection stuff I carry. I am on the road ~75% of the year and have to fly to most of my jobs now days, so I had to ditch the gang box :) . I needed something that was easy to check and stayed under the weight limit for over weight bags. Both of my bags usually weigh in at right about 45 lbs a piece, so no crazy over weight charges! Fits the small amount of tools I carry when I fly, my harness, hard hat, and random other junk.

I carry a Tom Bihn Brain Bag that has my laptop and I can slip my small tool bag into it when I am going into a place I know I don't need a harness and such.

CLC Custom Leather Craft backpack. Best tool bag ever and with it on your back it feels like you aren't carrying a thing.

Been using a canvas riggers bag for my voice/data tools and I like it a lot.
Had an electrician's tote from Lowe's before that and it fell apart!

it depends, for "hard line" tools i have a few classic craftsman metal carry boxes that i got from my dad, one has two or three drawers and a shallow compartment under the flip top, the other is a deep box with no drawers. both have the little removable caddy up top for commonly used stuff, which is convenient. i love those things, even weighed down with 60-80 pounds of tools, i've never worried about having the handle rip out of them. for electrical tools i have a craftsman canvas bag packed to gills for now, though i've got my eye on a nice klein tote i'll probably be picking up soon. if you want an actual bag i'd suggest the klein, they are real nice.

I don't really use one much. For around the house repairs, I've got a big Plano plastic box. If I'm toting tools around, it's the Plano probably 3/4 of the time.

When headed to the junkyard, I carry either a canvas grocery bag or a Porter Cable tool bag (got it free with my grinder). The PC is nice and stout, good for heavy tools needed for more involved parts pulling. The canvas bags are good for quicker parts runs and when empty I can carry an empty one in my back pocket at swap meets. And you can get them for free as promo items most of the time.

I like my Toughbuilt bag. Don't use it that much so I can't really say how well it would hold up under daily use, but it seems well constructed and opens wide.

They have a smaller and larger size out now as well. The larger is 22" or so and I considered it do to more interior pockets. But it was 130$ so I thought I would wait cause its much wider. I am glad I did cause the bag I have now gets caught and everything going through a restaurant.

I really like my 16" Husky bag. It's well-constructed and all but one or two of my carry tools fit in it. Sometimes it's loaded so heavily other folk who pick it up have complained. What's good about tool bags is they don't automatically bruise my legs up when walking, and you can set them down on an uneven surface and they don't rock around. What's bad is one time some guys on a worksite called mine a tool purse. Hurt my feelings!

I have two Veto Pro Pac LC's. One for home and one for work. They are great. I also have a Tom Bihn Brain Bag. I don't carry tools in it but have to say it is the best backpack I have ever owned plus it's made in the USA.

Tom Bihn's stuff has been spot on and the best part it fits in the over head of commuter jets :) ! (No gate checking FTW)

Guys have busted my balls pretty good about my tool backpack, calling me Dora the Explorer. But carrying 30lb of tools on your back and walking 2-3 miles/day is MUCH more comfortable than a toolbag in your hand or a strap over the shoulder.

The backpack also frees up a hand for carrying parts, the drill bag(which is also CLC), ladder, etc. Some of the ride techs where I work have the larger version of the CLC back pack, which has a lot more storage but was more than I needed.

I believe ACE Hardware carries CLC stuff, and its built much better than the HD/Lowes tool bags. I used to use an 18 or 24" AMP HD tool bag, but CLC is built better IMO.

I've tried all types of bags (GI canvas, Craftsman sale bags, CLC's) and finally settled on the Veto Pro Pac Tech LC and the TP3 on the side. I use a modified Pelican 1510 for transporting more specialized tools.
