Hi all.

What’s everyone use to hold their tools on a ladder, asides from a tool belt.

Thank you.

Small bucket with a hook. I actually use some "S" hooks I bent up for hanging brake calipers. Works well up on the ladder. But even then I normally have my tool belt on anyway.

Just be carefull how much your hanging off a ladder up high. Don't want to create a wobbly situation. I hang off the back rung, not the side.

I used to have a saddle bag type pouch made by Bucketboss. Drill holster on one side and a parts bag on the other. I think there may have also been some tool loops. The adjustment clips broke after about five years, I took it off and haven't tried to replace it. I just ran a 1-1/2" or so hole saw through the top to stick my drill or driver in and use my regular tool pouch for the hand tools. Maybe Bucketboss still makes such a thing? It's been at least 15 years since I bought mine.

I got this for my little giant ladder, its pretty good but too expensive. Its soft and folds up so I leave it on my ladder all times sitting between the top rungs, even if you collapse the ladder you can leave it installed so its really easy to use and takes up no space. It's basically a big pocket/tool pouch so its handy to hold even little things like screws and such and not have to worry about them falling down.

Werner makes some utility "buckets" that attach to the top of the ladder. I've used over-the shoulder satchels, Indiana Jones-style.

If you have the Werner step ladders with the sockets for the blue buckets, hooks and holders, then give them a try. I like them. There is a large rectangle bucket, small rectangle, tool hook, small paint container (good for other things too), and a utility holder.

The utility holder has partly open ends. Which is very useful when used on two ladders to hold long pieces.

The hooks and paint container can be attached to the ladder or to one of the other buckets.

Isn't it OSHA standard that ladders are for climbing and not for working on?
An exception being a step ladder as it's consider stairs.

I have that setup too. I have the snap-in rectangle bucket and the paint cup. I use the heck out of that bucket. It holds drills, bits, screws, parts, etc. And it even has "ruts" or whatever they are called along both edges for holding/balancing florescent tubes.

Good luck with that.

Anyway, am I the only person who read the title and thought, gee, what sort of a gigantic toolbag are you going to find that fits a ladder?

Bucket with a s hook seems to be the best for what I’m doing.

Thanks everyone
