Over the years, I've had Klien, cheap canvas HF open-top bags (still one of my favorites), and miscellaneous tool rools, carry-alls and all sorts of other stuff.

Couple of weeks ago, I needed a new bag for my tech/telco tools, as my traditional bag with the cards in it was disentegrating after 18 years.

I ended up with this from CLC.

It's a beast and can be way more loaded than I have it. It could get really heavy, but I like the pockets and the giant center section. Could easily put a driver/drill, and batteries in there. Maybe even a cordless recip.

Lots of pockets. I haven't worked out of it too much, but I'm a big fan so far. It might be too big, I just haven't decided yet. You can get an idea of the size based on the Arrow StapleGun in my picture below.

I have yet to find a tool bag that meets my needs 100 percent. They are either not big enough, too heavy, akward to carry, or too much money! LOL

I'm sure i have more pics somewhere. It's a Snap-on bag, and has held up amazingly well considering the amount of weight i put in it. I use it when i have a job on at home, it's carried tools for everything from basic servicing to head gasket jobs, cam belts, springs, clutches, etc. It's never failed, despite being packed to the gills and often being almost too heavy for me to lift. It's collapsable too.

Edit: The second one is a different bag, also Snap-on.

i'd rather load up several smaller bags/totes than have one thats too heavy to pick up.

for my off road adventures i have one bag that carries mostly hand tools, 2 smaller motorcycle type bags (secured to the cage) that i keep wire ties, tape, small adj wrench, dykes, test light, and a couple of nut drivers in.

in the back of the tow vehicle i keep a larger bag that has grinders, supplies, ext cord, gloves ect., and a kennedy cantilever box that holds small spare parts and supplies.
i keep my small mig, and welding hood in a storage tote in the back of the truck.

I have several tool bags in my garage, but no tools in them. I buy one and think "OK, this should do what I want" and invariably (there's a big word) I find that it doesn't do what I want and I don't return it because I figure I'll use it for something eventually. This is the latest one (I can't complain about the price, it was free):

I like open top canvas bags, more for hauling tools back and forth than anything. Made the middle one yesterday from Mossy Oak material on the outside and heavy canvas lining on the inside with nylon camo mosquito netting pockets, all from the local surplus store. Added 2 " webbing for handles. Takes about 6 hours more or less. If I tear one up, I just make a new one.

Made in the USA by me.

I used this leather tool bag back in the 1980s while I was traveling as a manufacture's representative in the medical electronics business. It's a nice bag and decided to keep it after the company gave us bulky airline pilot bags as a replacement. Never liked the new ones but our product line was expanding and so did the number of tools required for service.

The company kept the old tools and I filled it with my own but don't have a good photo of the inside yet. As usual, I had to repair the zipper. :)

... here is my little BOSCH tool bag, a little 'reward' for being a loyal customer.
... mostly used for the little in-house DIY, therefore re-arranged every time, depending on the job to be done.
... can be taken apart - if need to be.
... BOSCH logos all over it, even on the zippers.

... comes from far away, looks very much as one of the IRWIN range of totes.

No pics available, sorry. I have a couple of different CLC bags at home. So far they have been bomb proof. I load them fairly heavy and they have carried everything I've needed.
I also have a coupe of Craftsmans one up in the house and 1 one in the camper. They don't get heavy use or a lot fo weight, but seem to be decent. My favorite though is a old army surplus tool bag w/zipper from the Vietnam era. I seriouly don't think you could tear it up.

At work I have 2 CLC's and 1 Klein. All very good bags.

post some pics of the content in the "Tools from ...." thread please :)

... I'd love to, but I bet my precious rearside that the BOSCH bag, as well as the 10,8V cordless drill and laser light are from the PR of C.
So is my small BOSCH angle grinder and most of my other BOSCH stuff, apart from the 1500W angle grinder (with the handle positioned as on your ATLAS COPCO) and the heating gun (a STEINEL re-labeled I guess).

But if Japan is considered 'OLD WORLD', then CHINA should be as well ?
At least the BOSCH blue stuff coming from CHINA should be under strict BOSCH QC supervision.
What do you think?
