Paul, if you're buying them, please post pictures, I just recently acquired SK Wrenches in Metric Size, and not sure if I really need the Wright (unless I decide to return the SK set and purchase this Wright set instead, but I'll need 16mm and 18mm wrenches to complete this set as well)
:)

Btw, I wouldn't be surprised if this price stays the same in the weeks and months to come

Yeah, I won't be buying them but many on GJ want the newer Wright wrenches, as among the very best. I have plenty of wrenches, though none with the fancy newer grip styles. I have a set of Craftsman Professional made by SK and also a separate SK set, so I'm covered. I don't need the newer grip styles, though I do think that is somewhat useful to professionals, if not essential. I wouldn't sell my old sets just to get that though. - Paul

Here's another scoop. The Wright 751 10-piece set (which includes the 16mm and 18mm wrenches and leaves out the smaller sizes) cost the same as the Wright 750. I don't know if this is a minor price mistake.

What's really concerning to me now is that among the Tekton 18mm and SK 18mm wrenches, the SK 18mm wrench is shorter by almost an inch. Was this solely by the manufacturer's discretion?

I should rename this thread to Wright-Grip Wrench Sets on Sale at ToolBarn :D

Feels like its too early for me to upgrade. It's only been less than a year I initiated the refresh and acquired the Tekton set.

So turns out this is not really much of a great deal. In fact Amazon is overcharging their customers, whereas Tool Barn has things priced just about right. Based on my calculations between the Model # 750 and 751 sets, by using the 15-piece 752 set and individual wrench size cost from HJE's online catalog as a template, I concluded that the prices are established proportionally. I'd get whichever set is suited to your needs and patch up the sets with individual wrench sizes as you need them. This is still a warm deal for those on a strict budget.

Depends on what set you want, but I'd say it is a great price for these Wrights. Winlin, if you have older SK, i certainly wouldn't replace them with anything unless you are a Pro and just have to have the very best always! They are fine for most and better than 90% of what is out there. Only things better might be New SK wrenches, Wrightgrips, Snap-On, various European premium brands, older US MAC, Proto newer anti-slip. Equivalents come in many forms like older Wright, older Proto, Williams, Armstrong, Gray Canada, Craftsman Pros or Industrial (really Armstrong now but used to be SK). - Paul

Anybody positive these are Wright Grips, not just Wright wrenches? The open ends in the photos are not clear enough to tell. I'm guessing they are not the wright grips.

They're definitely Wright Grips, as per the corresponding part numbers in the Wright Tool Catalog.

As rocket1420 said, these are normal prices on Tool Barn and the like

I don't know if I'd say that. These are the cheapest you will find them, and they are far cheaper than the comparable SAE sets.

This deal has actually been posted before, but it's buried now. I had just bought the set on ebay for a couple bucks more when it first posted. Now I need the SAE, but can't find a decent deal.

I'm definitely going to try out the Wright Grips, preferably Model # 751 which includes the 16mm and 18mm
