Guys
Looking for a carpenters tool belt but for a lefty. Affordable, simple. I really need just the pouches. I know Occidental Leather and Diamondback make left hand version but they are too pricy. Any other source for left hand versions?
Thanks
Tom

Not sure I know what makes a pouch left or right handed. I do know that Occidental Leather is worth the money if your going to make a living with those pouches. I don't wear mine every day anymore but they're still going strong at 28 years old.

Just piece together what you want. Start with a good 3 inch leather belt then add the pouches you want. Most all pouches are compatible on either you left or right side. Most professionals (myself included) favor a hammer hanger dead center of their back that way it doesnt bang your knee all day and doesnt get pushed out when you squat down to measure or nail. Also easy to grab with either hand.

Start at Lowes the AWP HP stuff is very nice.

I've never worn an actually factory spec belt. Always pieced together what I wanted and generally have spare pouches in either my truck or tool trailer I can swap out as the job calls.

Roofing I prefer a single carpenter's pouch on my left side.

Framing I run carpenters pouches on both sides.

Trim and siding I favor a carpenter's pouch on my left side for fasteners and an electricians pouch on my right for handtools most of the time.
