Tool belts, changeable/movable pouches or permanently fixed pouches?

Tool belts with changeable/moveable/removable pouches/bags vs ones with permanently fixed ones. Curious what some of you prefer, especially you DIY/jack-of-all-trades as opposed to specialized professionals.

I've never given it much thought but I want to get a new one now. Currently have a somewhat cheap one with removable pouches, which I appreciate because it's just too much with all the pouches it came with. That said, it looks like one could of course buy one with fewer fixed pouches. Then there is also conundrum of what setup to get locked into with fixed pouches, do you go carpentry setup even though you'll be doing electrical or plumbing half of the time, etc... Is it even worthy of thinking about or do pretty much all trade oriented setups basically work fine for all tasks? Who even makes high quality, preferably leather, belts with removable pouches?

I preferred the bags independent of the belt for capacity and for personal flexibility (crouch, kneel, climb, crawl and stand on your damned head to get at something). The permanently attached are typically less capacity and spill all over the place at the worst moment.
