Sorry I don't have much info on it, other than he said there are no dings or dents and heavy duty slides.

What's a good price?

Thank you in advance!

I think that box actually belongs to a member here. :headscrat I am ~99% sure I have seen that picture before.

Value? :dunno: Aren't those pretty large and well built? How much are they asking for it?

As for the price, honestly I don't know enough about that exact box to speculate. I think they are pretty well thought of, but not exactly sure.

Check CL in your area for what used boxes are running. That is not a bad price at all, since it'll most likely last you a lifetime.

I've been checking CL, I'm just not tool box expert, so I thought I'd seek a few opinions....

Now if anyone has any vise questions, I'm your man! LOL!

Not a common box you see. If its in real nice shape 1500 if you love craftsman just the size alone is worth that if all the drawers And slides are nice.

that box LOOKS old, Seems dull, scratched and well used... anywhere remotely close to 1500, I wouldn't feel good. I just poked around the sears site and didn't see that box listed, similar ones at 56" were only 18" deep, those were 1200 brand new. and the biggest ones were 75" x 24" deep. 2300 new.... I'd keep searching craigslist for a sturdier box. 1500 could buy a whole lot of toolbox.

Used, I wouldn't give much. If that box is a craftsman, it is from Canada, probably made in china. It is the same layout as the stainless steal viper boxes seats use to have in the catalog. As with the one that a member on here has, I think that is a no name import that somebody stuck a craftsman badge on.

I think it's a nice looking box as a whole, but I wouldn't give more than $700 for it. I look at tool boxes differently than most here and I could two band new HF44's for $775 with tax. So since I am 100% happy with my HF box, I can't see spending more than that.

Correct, that is my box. It is also listed here in the classifieds.

It's nearly impossible to find a box this big for anywhere under $3k. This is the only non-truck box you can buy that is 30x72. Sure, you can go buy two HF 44" boxes for less, but it still won't be near the same amount of space. Plus, this one can fit a lot more in one drawer, which is why I wanted it. All of my SAE wrenches can fit in one drawer, all my metric in another, etc. It's easier to keep organized IMO.

I've had a KRA, and this is far and away a better box.

Yes, it probably is made in China. As far as I could find, I have no reason to doubt it's a Craftsman-branded box. I can't find it sold under any other brand in this color with the stainless top. It has been sold as a Montezuma, Mountain, Extreme, and Viper. I wouldn't say those are "no-name" brands. Parts are still available for it through at least one of those brands.

So why are you selling it if you like it so much? What did you do to it to increase the value $300?

i believe he said it is 30" deep, not 24" like the price was mentioned above. having nothing to gain, i think that sounds like a fair price for the box although i don't care for the drawer layout.
