I always go red easier to find red tools and easier to resell. If I went blue it would be midnight blue with black trim. Not Royal blue.

Another thing to think about is if you want a top chest or hutch or locker down the road. If you go with green or orange will that color still be available in 10 years? Pretty sure the basic "old boring" colors will be.... maybe something to think about.

Funny topic seeing that I am color blind I can not tell blue from green and dark blue from black. I have two older craftsman tool boxes, one mac box and one mac bottom box with a snap-on top but still the one thing I wanted was for them to all look somewhat the same color so I went with craftsman red.

Hey I say if you got the $$$$ trade them in every so many years and buy what you love, as for me I don't have deep pockets so I look for the used red models.

Problem is...longevity.
If your buying a HF44"...sure, fad colors are cool...but on something that will last a while...

I just see flashbacks of Harvest Gold Appliances, Dark Brown Stained Wood Trim, Etc...
The people who got the Harvest gold Stove & Fridge were definitely celebrating the 76 bi-centennial year in style, but by the 80's and beyond...well...no explanation needed. All kinds of Fad colors have come & gone. Extreme Green is cool right now, but will it be in 20 years?

He's totally right. Extreme Green is just the fad right now. Stick with a classic. Get it in Harvest Gold. :rocker:

Black it is perfect to show how much dust you have in the shop.
Just bought a KRSC100 in black, pick it up today... will match the other 3 black boxes

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Seeing the pics of all the white boxes here. Beautiful box color, and a timeless color you'll never get tired of. Only issue with white I fear would be actually USING it and keeping it nice. I would be afraid to stain it. I have some "Industrial Tan" cabinets (Similar to a lista/vidmar style) and they look like HELL. The drawer faces are always smeared with grease smudges, etc.. Luckily I got them free and it cleans off well enough, but each time I see that I think of the white boxes I've seen.

True story! I wipe mine down with Meguiars Quik Detailer from time to time for that exact reason.
Another Fad color which I've seen 3 times recently... Teal Green. In the 90's it was the COOL Color to have, quite a few Teal Green early 90's C/K trucks around here....just yesterday I saw a MINT KRL761 with top box in Teal. Easiest way to describe it would be nice color, beautiful box...glad its not mine.:bounce:

I have a white box, Its easier to keep clean than the other color because you see the grease smudges right away, darker boxes you dont see them until the box is real dirty. WD40 and a micro fiber cleans it like new in about 5 minutes
