Snap on cranberry! But in hindsight I should have bought red. Just for the fact that there is more out there. As I need a couple side boxes and zero cranberry on the used market. But lots of red and green seams to be popular

I looked at the HF boxes and the lime green and blue would have been my choices. Something a little different after owning red boxes all my life.

I wanted a lime green one myself but they didn't have any in stock and I didn't feel like waiting 3 to 4 weeks

I don't understand this fascination with WHITE! like with the new HF boxes

Some of us don't live or work in a filthy shop environment, and white = clean.

White in a home shop/garage = clean, neat and doesn’t advertise “I HAVE TOOLS” to the neighborhood. A red toolbox does that. Not to mention a target for thieves looking for a score if you work with the door open on the garage.

That last part is really why I went with a black box recently. Didn't really care to advertise the tools in the garage and felt he black box blended in the best.

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
My working box is a 70's Craftsman, originally Silver frame with the red drawers. The silver framework was pretty rough, and I had to fix some rust on it, and didn't like the options I had to redo silver (I had already done that and it lasted about a year). Anyway, I repainted it with what I had available - flat olive green Rustoleum Camoflage - figuring I could repaint it someday, but with the red drawers, it's starting to grow on me. What makes me laugh is I'm currently using it as my school work cart, and the "kids" who were in the service want to know whether I was Army or Marines.

(Don't tell no one, I was USAF... :lol_hitti )

We'll see when new box time comes around, tho. I was kinda thinking the gunmetal blue / Titanium, and make my own boxtop out of HDPE Cutting board material (THAT stuff wears like iron), but like I said, the OD is growing on me, and it cleans up well...

My old tool boxes were always Kennedy wrinkle finish dark brown but then I started switching to Lista cabinets, light blue with grey drawers.

I'm fine with pretty much any color. My least favorite would be lime green. Black and red would be among my top choices with white being on top. When I finally get around to painting my old Matco, i'll be painting it white.

I like white too. But I haven't lived with one, (home shop) so I can't say for sure it's great. But if available in what I want, my next box will be white. Another advantage of light colours is more reflected light, easier to spot tools, which is nice for us older folks with dimmer eyes.

I like Blue, that's what my HF set is and it looks good in my garage. I also have a 10 year old black Craftsman set that I moved to the shed and it still looks good. I don't like red and sold my red Snap-on set

My box at home is black with black drawers or charcoal drawers. Drawer color was dependent on the box as did a repaint of it. The box in the trailer is a HF 44" box. I don't like all read so I repainted the drawer fronts charcoal. The box I have at the fire station is a Tool Shop box, it was all red when I bought it. It's now black with charcoal drawers.

Seeing a trend here ? Either black on black or black with charcoal drawers.

I wonder what a lime green box with black drawers would look like ?

Once you've had black you can't go back....just kind of fades into the surroundings, a subdued presence without taking over the entire area. Smooth shiny and non-textured though....cleans up nice with a quick wipe-down.

My boxes are either red red with gray drawers. Those boxes are still in good shape, however, if I was going to upgrade, I'd probably go with dark blue.

I have a Matco 5s in silver vein and it is awesome, you can’t even tell it’s dirty and finger prints don’t show up on it. I’ve always been fond of greys so it suits me very well.

I have an 84” epiq in white with black trim. I custom ordered it in those colors with my own drawer configuration. I can see where everyone would think it would look dirty in a heavy use environment, but I never had that issue. I worked in a full time shop shipping With a heavy work load, and I must say white always looked the cleanest. I gave it a wipe down once every two weeks.
