I have treated myself to a Hazet mini Assistent for mobile repair work, now i have got it i am wanting to keep it looking tidy for as long as possible. The Assistent will live in the back of the service truck so i am thinking about getting a cover made  to stop it getting scratched etc in transit.

Anyone done similar in a similar situation, or do i need to man up and accept the inevitable war wounds etc?

Also any recommendations for specifications if i do get one made?

I bought a grill cover for my HF 44 when I couldn't find an affordable toolbox cover. If I had something as nice as Hazet you bet your *** it too would be covered.

A friend of mine had his brother make one out of roof membrane that he cut and "welded" to the right shape and size. It's not pretty, but it keeps the toolbox pretty. Not sure the exact details on what material he used, but it's a thought.

I use canvas and old sheets in my shop. As for one that's going to be rolling around in a service vehicle, it's going to be a different deal. The main thing is keeping it stable. As of covers maybe find something like an oversized fire extinguisher cover or something like that.

I'm going to assume that the Assistent will be in a covered area of your service truck (Your location says Oxford but is that UK or an Oxford in the USA?) I like heavy canvas fabric covers for my stored equipment since canvas breathes a bit and condensation is less of a problem under the cover.

Thanks for the replies! I think i'll have a go at making something. If it turns out ok I'll post some pictures.

Honcho, I'm near Oxford UK, the work truck is really too small for what i do but budget and our narrow town roads and parking mean something i could easily work out of would be impossible to park (and probably too expensive to run)
